The new automated gate systems for Litchfield By The Sea and River Club have been installed and will be operational on Monday, April 28, 2003.
As you are aware, the implementation of these bar code activated gates is a result of the security audit report received from Security Forces, Inc, our security contractor. Your Board of Directors commissioned a committee to review this report and make recommendations to the Board.
The primary purpose of the bar code gate system is to limit access to owners only. In addition, the gates will expedite entry allowing owners automated access. Guests, renters, and commercial traffic will still have to check in with the Security staff at the main Litchfield By The Sea gate and the River Club gate. ALL CURRENT REGISTERED WINDSHIELD DECALS WILL CONTINUE TO BE RECOGNIZED AND AUTHORIZED FOR ENTRY AT THE MANNED GUARD GATES. Guest passes will continue to be issued at the gate.
The Litchfield By The Sea South Gate and the back gate at River Club will be BAR CODE ONLY gates. The right lane at the main entrances to Litchfield By The Sea and River Club will be “owner only” lanes activated by the bar code reader. All other traffic will use the left lanes next to the security buildings.
Each unit/residence will recieve 2 free bar codes. Two (2) additional bar codes per unit may be purchased for $5.00 each, for a maximum of 4 bar codes per unit. You will need to provide validation of registration and complete an application at the office of Waccamaw Management. The managing partner for a multi-owner unit will be responsible for notifying all additional owners as well as providing an up-to-date owner list to Waccamaw Management. Multiple owner units will be issued two (2) free barcodes per residence and each multiple owner will be allowed to purchase two barcodes at $5.00 each.
A form must be completed, signed and returned to our office in order to have the bar codes activated. Please remember to include all information requested, including your decal number that is on the Litchfield By The Sea car decal now attached to your windshield.
Please note if you have remote openers and gate cards they will no longer allow you access to the Litchfield By The Sea or River Club Gates once the new system is activated.
These improvements are intended to add to the security and convenience of you, the property owner. We ask that you work with the Board and managing agent to prevent abuse of the bar code system. These bar codes are for residents only and not for visiting friends and family members.
